Group Therapy
Group therapy creates a bond between its members by sharing intimate processes in confidence.
- Group therapy reassures the client they are not alone with their feelings, thoughts, needs, and longings
- Therapeutic gains are maximized in a shared process where another's process may be experienced as one's own
- Provides the opportunity to receive honest, helpful feedback from others in a supportive environment
- Affords an opportunity to try out new ways of perceiving
- Fosters a safe environment where the motivations behind expressions become conscious
- A potential for open-hearted intimacy and positive interaction in the group
- Group members commit to the full course and schedule individual sessions at least monthly in order to participate unless already seeing a therapist. (A pre-registration session is required.) Course will include processes/teachings from A Course in Miracles, Transpersonal Therapy, Attachment Theory, Core Energetics, Cognitive-behavioral Therapy, Coherence Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Meditation, Mindfulness, Pathwork, Gangaji, Adyashanti, and "the work" by Byron Katie.
